From the artist's statement:
"I'm interested in how objects are imbued with richness by people’s shared interactions with them. Mementos, keepsakes, memorabilia; my practice investigates how everyday items communicate narrative. Through sculptural assemblage, printmaking techniques, and digital approaches to image and audio, artifacts of biographical stories are collected and transformed. These processes allow contextualization of objects with the narratives drawn from them; a voicemail inhabits space, a t-shirt gains a voice, a letter carries memory. By inviting the viewer into personal narratives, the work creates circumstances for the exploration of the self in relation to others. It calls attention to people’s interpersonal nature and questions the extent of their individuality. "
